The striking pattern immediately catches the eye. 

Until now, however, it was not known from the vertical wall perspective, but from the horizontal seating position. The octagonal honeycomb braids of the Thonet wooden chairs, highly appreciated by design experts, served as a starting point for us to think about an extraordinary wall design on a large scale. However, it turned out that the original braiding craft made of pedigree is not so easy to reproduce with textile materials. In our experiments, we have therefore focussed more on the possibilities of different textiles, especially soft materials that can be elegantly shaped. Finally, we ended up with raw silk, which fascinated us with its wonderful irregularities.
